Have you noticed how some people look great wearing certain colours, and dull when wearing other colours?
Some colours make us look fresh and attractive, even without make-up. Others make us look pale, or sickly. If you haven't noticed this, it is time to make a note of which colours suit us better.
Cool skin tones
Pink and rosy complexions, pale fair skin with a porcelain complexion, and dark skin all fall under cool skin tones.
The colours that best suit you are intense colours like navy blue, black, red, hot pink which compliment your skin tone. For lighter colours, wear bright white, cool blues, mauve, lavender, pinks and yellows.

Avoid wearing colours like beige, orange and gold which will make you look faded!
Warm skin tones
Golden beige undertones, creamy white complexions are all warm skin tones. Those with light ivory skin, or golden brown tones are said to have warm skin tones.
You will look very attractive in ivory, bright green, true red, clear blue. Warm earthy colours like those seen in autumn leaves, and spice colours like dark brown, gold, orange and olive will look great on you. Pale, soft colours like peach, golden yellow and golden brown are also flattering for your skin tone. Rich warm grey suits your colour too.

Avoid black and white which can be too contrasting for you. Stay away from dark, dull colours.
Having said all that, the best guide for us is actually to see for ourselves in the mirror how the colour suits us. If the colour brightens us up and we feel happy about how it looks on us, then we've made the right choice!
